Maintenance Technician – Residential Rental Property
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our residential property management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the building, completing repairs, preparing vacant units, and ensuring a safe and pleasant living environment for residents.
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance and repair work orders efficiently.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine building inspections.
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents.
- Conduct general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and appliance maintenance.
- Maintain common areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior grounds.
- Respond to resident maintenance requests professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers when required.
- Assist with emergency maintenance situations and on-call duties as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in residential, commercial, or multifamily property maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of general building systems and repairs.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license considered an asset.
- Relevant certifications or trade experience are considered assets.
