We are seeking a Operations Supervisor to oversee all building systems, maintenance, and contractor performance of a commercial real estate portfolio while ensuring compliance and excellent tenant service. This role leads and mentors’ operations staff and acts as the main contact for tenants and property management teams.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and building automation.
Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs; perform inspections and troubleshooting.
Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
Respond to tenant service requests and provide operational support for leasing and property management.
Support budgeting, financial reporting, and capital planning.
Ensure compliance with Alberta OHS legislation, fire codes, and environmental regulations.
Monitor energy use and implement sustainability initiatives (e.g., BOMA BEST, LEED).
Lead, mentor, and develop operations staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Participate in on-call and after-hours support as needed.
Qualifications
5–10 years of experience in building operations, facility management, or mechanical trades.
Minimum 5 years of supervisory and project management experience.
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, boilers, chillers, pumps, electrical systems, plumbing, BAS/BMS, and life safety systems.
